​44 Suffolk Road

Between 1961 and 1975 both numbers 44 and 46 accommodated Thomas Plant & Co Ltd, School Outfitters & Gentleman’s Tailors. This was one of several shops that largely depended on trade with nearby Cheltenham College.

The shop was later divided into two and by the early years of the 21st century this half was dedicated to the Eden Health & Beauty Spa. In the first part of the 2020s this became a hairdressers offering a range of services called Kolectiv.

The clock above and to the right of the shop still carries the name of Thomas Plant.
