“I have several pictures through the years of the changes brought about to 54. This is one of my Dad standing in front of 54 Tivoli Street, when he was about 12. He was born in 1900 in Park Place. “
“The photos on the right include my grandparents and my mother, Florence, sitting on the Gordon Lamp.” (Rather, this is the lamp at Tivoli. Ed.)
“I have lived in the US for many years but, when I visit, I stay at 54 with my Aunt. Friends sent me this website, so I will be visiting often. I am passing it on to one of my daughters, who came to England with me a couple years ago, as she is very interested in all things English. I was at 54 last Oct-Nov and watched the Tivoli rise up.”
“My maternal grandparents, Alfred and Amelia Matthews, ran the Little Crown Inn. It is now, or was last time I looked, a Veterinary Clinic (Macdonalds Vets). My grandparents ran the Sudeley Arms in Winchcombe before moving to the Little Crown Inn. My sister was born there. My grandparents later retired and moved to the Old Bath Road. Here is a picture of my grandmother (Amelia), my mother (Florence) and uncle outside the pub.”
